FACT Program Adolescent Outpatient Admission Handbook (PDF)

The Family Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program provides a new evidenced-based approach to helping adolescents experiencing problems with substance use. FACT clinicians use individualized interventions to build on strengths and motivate adolescents to stay drug and alcohol free. Services are provided at our Mission and Olathe offices.

GOALS OF TREATMENT:

  • Increase access to and retention in treatment
  • Decrease the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs
  • Increase positive relationships with family
  • Increase participation in pro-social activities
  • Increase positive interactions with peers
  • Decrease criminal involvement

HOW FACT IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ADOLESCENT TREATMENT PROGRAMS:

  • Services are only provided on an individual basis – No group sessions
  • Family involvement
  • A combination of office-based and community based services
  • Non-confrontational
  • Substance Use and Mental Health focused
  • SAMHSA Grant Funded – All FACT services are free of charge

STRUCTURE OF TREATMENT:

Six months of evidenced-based treatment includes:

  • 3 months of individual counseling in the office, and
  • 3 months of individual continuing care (in home or community)
